Luis Moya, a screenwriter by profession, returns to Cocentaina, the village where he was born in the mountains of Alicante, to help his brother, Kiko Moya and his cousin, Alberto Redrado, to write a book about the cuisine of their family restaurant: L ́Escaleta, which was awarded two precious Michelin stars and is among the 25 best restaurants in Spain and Portugal. Thus, looking for the keys to trace the cardinal points of the kitchen of L ́Escaleta, they start a fascinating journey to the interior of Alicante. A gastronomic and emotional journey that will take us to the origin of the things, products and ideas that have been able to create a unique, honest and crucial culinary world to understand the vanguard of the restoration in the Valencian Community. And so, through the eyes of Luis and a series of dishes that capture the essential ideas that Kiko Moya tries to capture, such as memory or landscape, chapters are created that tell the story of this restaurant along with the intimate and daily life of its protagonists.
